East Haven Fun Facts: East Haven is located in New Haven County Connecticut and is home to approximately 29,000 people. According to Wikipedia, in 1707 the town was granted petition for township and the colonists changed its name from Iron Works Village to East Haven. Residents of East Haven divide the town into three major sections called Foxon, Momauguin and “The Center”. Foxon is the hilliest section of East Haven and is home to the town’s high school. Momauguin is home to East Haven’s beaches and summer cottages. The Center is not the geographical center of the town but is the central of the town’s administrative buildings. Henry Winkler, actor and director who played “The Fonz” on Happy Days, lived in the Momaugin area of East Haven while he attended the Yale School of Drama.
